Among these commentators was Tucker Carlson.
Murdoch has been labeled a close friend and supporter of Carlson.

Carlson was quickly becoming one of the conservative data pipe’s most popular hosts.
His impressive viewership numbers weren’t enough to save him from his impending dismissal from the channel.
