Barry was reportedly in hospice care for cancer at the time of her death, according to theDaily Voice.
She earned her master’s degree in public law and government from Columbia University in 1962.
Barry worked as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey for nearly 10 years.
During her time on the bench, she was known to be a tough and well-respected judge.
Barry married John Joseph Barry in 1982; he passed away in 2000.
