The union raised eyebrows, with some going so far as to say thatHayek married Pinault for his fortune.
Since then, the Oscar winner has publicly defended her marriage and her husband.
That said, there’s no denying that Hayek’s real-life leading man is very, very wealthy.

Pinault SA later became Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, before being shortened to PPR and eventually becoming Kering.
During the 1990s, the company which originally specialized in wood and building materials shifted toward luxury fashion.
In 2003, the elder Francois handed over the company to his son Francois-Henri Pinault.

By 2005, Pinault assumed the reins as chairman and CEO of the company.
That being said, the couple has refrained from confirming that story to the press.
“It’s such a romantic, amazing story, but it is mine.

In the same interview, Hayek confirmed that she met Pinault when she was 39.
Now, she describes the billionaire as “the best husband in the world.”
What does she love about him?

Chief among these is the fact that Hayek was not interested in Pinault at least not at the beginning.
As the two started talking, though, Hayek found herself changing her mind.
“I remember when I started saying, ‘Oh my god, there’s something here.’

And, it’s so silly.
We started talking about football.
We are both crazy about soccer.

And, then we started talking about science.
We love the space.
And, he was so smart and charming and funny.”

Ultimately, Hayek said that Pinault’s amazing conversation skills were what won her over.
It’s not normally the typical conversations.
But for Hayek, the duo’s blended family is one of her great joys in life.

“I had a child late in life …
I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to.
My body, as a miracle, had one,” she toldRedin 2017.

“The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children.
So I have four.
And they are all so different.”

He runs a fashion empire, owns Rennes Football Club, and does quite a bit of philanthropy.
Interestingly, Hayek says that Pinault displays the same attitude when they are traveling together as a family.
“We go on vacation, he completely shuts off, he’s in the moment.”
Maybe that’s why she married him.”
Hayek, however, was not afraid to clap back.
I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever, b**ch.
Think what you want.’
Fifteen years together, and we are strong in love."
TheAcademy Awardwinner went on to say that these sorts of salacious rumors no longer bother her.
“And I don’t even get offended, I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever.'”
“You know the thing is that in pictures you cannot begin to guess the magic in him.
The organization supports victims of domestic violence by working with partners to create prevention programs and survivor-centered services.
However, the publicly announced donation galvanized business rivals like luxury goods group LVMH to follow suit.
It launched a movement that is still ongoing, because we still have 140 donations a week.”
Francois-Henri Pinault identifies as a feminist
Francois-Henri Pinault’s political and philosophical perspectives might not be well-known.
So, he really roots for women."
In Hayek’s view, this is one of the most attractive things about her husband.
“That is hot.
Guys don’t think that it is hot, but it really is.
