What’s the truth aboutTrisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks' marriage?
The pair are one of country music’s most famous couples with pitch perfect harmony both onandoff the stage.
But despite their professional achievements, marriage is, by far, their biggestaccolade.
At the time, Yearwood was the wife of music producer Chris Latham (viaGood Housekeeping).

So Brooks and Yearwood remained friends.

Afterwards, Brooks pointed out a wedding band fixed to the statue’s ring finger.
Then much to Yearwood’s surprise, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
“She was totally stunned…It took her a while to regain composure.
You could tell she’d been crying.”

“It’s the perfect Christmas gift to each other,” Brooks said in a statement.
“We could not be happier.”
“We married the girls,” Yearwood explained on theRachael Ray Showin 2019.
She added her anniversary with Brooks is also theirs with the children.

In the Yearwood-Brooks household, she’s the bonus mom instead.

The couple listed the 14,089 square-foot palace in 2014 for approximately $3.5 million.
Once they were able to settle in and hang pictures, he said, it started feeling like home.
“I was living with three strange women that I did not know.
They were 8, 6, and 4.”
That best friend was Yearwood, of course.
“None of us has ever seen this before,” he said.
“As parents like you, like me, all you do is pray your knee bones off.”
Brooks and Yearwood had to quarantine as well, as they work with their son-in-law.
Fortunately, everyone was okay in the end.
“I think everything kind of happens in its time.”
Before tying the knot in 2005, Brooks had been married once before, and Yearwood twice.
“I’m not proud to have been divorced,” Yearwoodtolda reporter following the Q&A.
But said that she and Brooks got together at a good time in both their lives.
“As long as we can do that we’re going to do that.”
