When a reality TV show offers up a villainous character, viewers rarely question their actions or motives.
Instead, they simply choose to dislike them.
Netflix’s hit reality show “Love is Blind” presented fans with plenty of villains to actively hate.

Naturally, one name stands out among the other problematic cast members: Shake Chatterjee.
The show’s self-proclaimed villain wasted no time in making bold, offensive statements.
But apart from Shake, there was another messy, walking red flag who was working overtime.

But unlike Shake, viewers found Shayne’s antics to be concerning, instead of aggravating.
There, Shayne appeared to be incapable of sitting still as he twitched around the room.
In particular, his twitching hit an all-time high while he waited for Natalie Lee at the altar.

“I think Shayne needs to see a doctor.
I’m not being facetious or condescending,” one concerned user wrote onTwitter.
Social media exploded as fans weighed in on the drugs versus medical condition debate, perMeaww.

“I just feel really bad.
I feel like people need to remember that we are human beings.
Those things are hurtful.
Shayne didn’t stay quiet for long, though.
“Have I [done them]?
On the show I did not.”
“I have experience with a few [drugs].
Shayne also addressed the logistical impossibility of doing drugs during the filming process.
“I’m mic’d up the whole time.
Everyone would have heard me do it.
They can literally hear you whispering.
…How could they not hear me do it?”
How did Shayne Jansen explain his behavior?
After Shayne Jansen came clean (literally), the public was possibly left with even more questions.
As it turns out, fan’s theories about the reality star’s ADHD were correct.
As for his infamous altar scene, Shayne had an explanation for that too.
“My mom was in town, my whole family was in town.
I was so embarrassed, my anxiety was going crazy.”
