Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods is one of the most dominant figures golf has seen.
This, however, never changed his stance on parenthood.
“It’s work, there’s no doubt,” he revealed.
“It’s tough.
But it’s enjoyable.
That’s the work I love.”
Family is important to Woods, and his kids seem to be thankful for his presence in their life.

Woods published a lengthy statement celebrating his father after his death.
“My dad was my best friend and greatest role model,” he wrote.
“He was an amazing dad, coach, mentor, soldier, husband, and friend.”
“It just happened to fit,” he said.
“My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born.
He rarely ever called me Tiger.
I would ask him, ‘Why don’t you ever call me Tiger?’
He says, ‘Well, you look more like a Sam.'”
Their rivalry, however, wouldn’t necessarily stem from their competition.
It was their publicized jabs and critiques over their playstyles that made their rivalry so dramatic.
It’s rumored Tiger Woods even referred to Mickelson as “Phony Phil.”
While their banter may have appeared to be rooted in hatred,Woods and Mickelson would eventually become friends.
Mickelson even sent a birthday gift to Sam in 2007.
Pinkett Smith asked the golfer about the lessons his little girl, Sam, has taught him.
Woods responded jokingly, “I don’t like boys.”
Pinkett Smith suggested that all men should have daughters for the sake of personal growth.
Despite his silly remark, Woods eventually revealed the true lesson he’s learned from his daughter.
“She has taught me how to be more patient,” Woods said.
“But I don’t ever want her to leave home.
Tiger Woods, however, revealed that the two had other interests keeping them away from golf.
In a 2018 interview withGolf Magazine, Woods said Sam and Charlie are very excited about soccer.
“If they want to play golf, that’s great,” Woods said.
“If they don’t, that’s fine, too.
As long as they have a good time playing sports.”
“I get such a big kick out of watching them compete and play,” he said.
“It’s so much fun to see how happy and passionate they are about soccer.”
According to the professional golfer himself, his son’s early talents impressed him.
“It’s a little frustrating at times.”
Woods revealed that Charlie’s interest in the sport is growing.
Their last two appearances at the annual tournament were after his car crash in February 2021.
I think being there with and alongside my son is far more important” (per Today).
The injuries he sustained sidelined his golf career.
Thanks to his children, however, the road to recovery seems doable for the professional golfer.
“I said, ‘Son, you will never be my friend.
I will always be friendly, but I will always be your dad,'” he said.
“I think that’s the responsibility as a parent,” he said.
“You could always be friendly.
My dad was always friendly to me, but he was my dad first.”
He apologized for his actions and embraced a newfound path to healing.
I have a lot of work to do," he shared in his statement.
Woods held himself accountable for not only ruining his marriage but altering the lives of Sam and Charlie also.
“But meanwhile, it’s just, ‘Hey, Daddy made some mistakes.
But it’s okay.
We’re all human.
We all make mistakes.'”
This would be short-lived, however, as the damage done was irreversible.
Despite their ordeal, Woods and Nordegren agreed to make an effort to be successful co-parents.
The two have worked through their differences and were able to form a friendship (perTime).
While the two have seemingly rebuilt their friendship, both have found other romantic partners.
Nordegren started dating ex-NFL player Jordan Cameron.
According toPage Six, Nordegren appeared at Charlie’s soccer practice with Sam and Arthur in 2021.
