“I thought that I would never hit 40.
I drank a lot as a teenager,” she toldParadein a 2008 interview.
“It became a real problem for me.”

The actress has gained respect for her willingness to tackle tough topics and speak about her struggles.
While describing her struggles with addiction, she did not specifically comment on her “SATC” role.

Ageism is not exclusive to the actresses who starred in “Sex and the City.”
It’s a common part of the entertainment business, but that doesn’t make it right.
