One of those characters, Sookie St. James, was portrayed by fan-favorite actor Melissa McCarthy.
The two were very close, and Sookie often offered some comedy during her time on-screen.
“It was written with such nice people.”

However, many fans were disappointed that they didn’t get to see more of Sookie in the revival.
So I have a super paranoia about it," she added (viaET).
However, it’s not just “Gilmore Girls” that McCarthy struggles watching.

She also confessed that she can’t watch her films like “Bridesmaids” and “Ghostbusters” either.
Pretty weird," McCarthy stated.
“It’s all I ever think when we turn on [the TV] and it’s me.

I’m like, ‘Oh God, do I feel light-headed?’
I don’t want to pass out in a room where myself is playing [on screen].
I know I shouldn’t talk about that, it makes me sound nuts.”
However, McCarthy is proud to be part of the “Gilmore Girls” world.
“It has had this generational [effect],” she said of the show.
And their kids watch it with their own friends.
It had legs on it that I didn’t really expect."
While McCarthy may have a difficult time watching the show, fans certainly don’t share the sentiment.
